When I sought help to really organize and grow my business, I saw glimpses of the laptop lifestyle and leisure travel 12 months each year. It was enticing and exhilarating to see. I mean, who doesn’t want to have it like that?

 

But that wasn’t me.

 

Education was a noble profession, and I cannot deny that is very much a part of who I am. I would not abandon it to simply take on a luxury lifestyle. In fact, I still volunteer my time to my original vocation. However, I stepped away from my 9-to -5 for multiple reasons:

I was tired of putting my son second when it came to my work. I wanted to be more attentive to my son and have the freedom to be more active in his education, his activities, and in our time together at home.

While my job was an important role, I wanted to impact the lives of others in my own way. I wanted to help women get balance in their lives. I wanted to empower women to be unstoppable in what they believed for themselves, and I wanted to be the support to help them go get it. That was not going to happen while I was allowing someone else’s goals to be my priority.

I had no control or input as to how my pay increased. It was frustrating to know that I had invested in the amount of education and training that I had and know that I would only see a yearly increase of a few hundred dollars or maybe a couple of thousands.

The true driving force behind my entrepreneurial

did not include the glimpse of luxury. It was about

freedom with my time, using my own voice and unique

skillsets to speak my message, and being able to

generate highly profitable income while doing it.

As for the laptop life style and world of luxury…I won’t

turn it down when it comes!

So I took action, invested in myself by getting a mentor,

and turned my low-income generating business into a

profitable, life-sustaining business. This ignited me so

much that I moved from life coach to business mentor,

to help women launch the business of her dreams,

using her voice to impact lives and generate income

that will allow her balance her role as wife, mother,

money earner, and the countless other hats that she

wears.

Truthfully, I’ve made some less than wise decisions in

my business along the way. I tried to do it all by myself

and significantly undervalued myself and what I had to

offer my clients, I operated in fear and flat out being

stubborn, and I hid because of embarrassment and

shame.

​

But I learned from my mistakes. 

​

So let me ask you, do you feel as though you should be further along by now? Have you been contemplating on your idea but not moving forward?

Remember, Rome wasn't built in a day, no matter how effortless others may make it seem...but it got built, and it was magnificent!

Once I made the change, I transformed my life coaching business into business coaching/mentoring because I saw how women were desperately wanted to express their creativity, passion, and purpose through their own business. This was their missing element to maintaining balance in their lives between their families, their jobs, and their own interests. I knew it was my charge to help them access the time freedom and financial control through their own business.

As a coach for women, I make it my priority to help women maintain her role as the balance keeper by helping her build highly profitable dream businesses to support her family, her endeavors, and her freedom! 

From planning her exit from her traditional 9-to-5 to launching and growing an online, service-based business, I help women create her dream life and shape her world using her unique identity. I don't convince women to become entrepreneurs.
