Everybody Can't Go Where You're Going

There's comfort in numbers...sometimes.

When you do something new, there is a certain level of security knowing "I'm not the only one doing this." Perhaps it's the assurance of knowing that the choice being made is commonplace, and therefore common sense. Perhaps it's the odds of knowing if others are making this same choice, there's a great potential for things to work in your favor.

Those perspectives seem pretty reasonable.

Following high school, I made the choice to move out-of-state to attend college. I had never heard of the college and knew of no one else in that city. It was more that consoling to find that a friend from my high school would also attend that same college.

Whew.

I also recall being asked to be a part of a organization that was very well-respected in my circle of friends. I was so excited and honored to be included. (It was really a lifelong dream.) One of my friends applied to be a part of this prestigious group. She was denied. We were both crushed and heartbroken. We were 'the crew'...the homegirls. We had always done everything together. I then remember Mama sat me down and shared these words with me:

"Roché, everybody CAN'T go where you're going."

She held back no emotions and her words stung. She continued her lecture, giving me all the reasons to grow up and get over it. Although I was in my 20's, I felt like the teenager asking to borrow her car. But I have to admit, she handed me my big-girl britches and left me alone to lick my wounds. Glancing back, I love that woman even more for teaching me a lesson that life reaffirms over and over again.

When it comes to the direction of your life, the choices you make tend to be more intimate. Why? Because it impacts your wants, your goals, and your future. Sure, your family will be a contributing factor in many aspects of your life. However, the bottom line is this: If you have a strong conviction to do something, do you proceed or solicit the opinions of those who are not hands on with what you're contemplating. Without any ill feelings, truthfully, others can't see your vision because you have been given unique sight as the visionary. And you have been designed and equipped to carry that vision to fruition.

It's always nice to have support, especially when it comes to building a business, your dream business. What you really need is resilience, strength, perseverance, and focus. In fact, as the CEO of your dreams, you can honor yourself by standing in your true power. You further honor yourself by aligning with your vision and what brings you closer to it.

Don't worry. One thing I have learned is you never lose. In the beauty of balance, you lose those things (and people) that weigh you down, but you inherently acquire the things that will propel you toward your greatness. You will develop a tribe that support, applauds, and celebrates you. In fact, you will also find a spot to join another tribe where you can grow, share, and learn.

In all of this, I want you to know that when it comes to starting a new thing or breaking through to another level, there will be some letting go. Along the way, you will attract and build the community of support that will support your vision and keep you uplifted.

So what's keeping you from moving to your next level? I see your stride losing momentum. You don't have to play small or be hesitant because of change. Instead, allow the change to be the catalyst to ignite your path. So my friend, know that you are not alone. I am here for you to support your growth and aspirations.

I am very sure that you know you are meant for more. If you don't know how to break through to your next level, let me know. That's why I am here. This is not just about money. It's about movement. I want to support my sister entrepreneurs in achieving the balance and freedom that they crave and need for themselves and their families.

Are you ready?

Take a nice cool breath. Grab your favorite sip or delectable, and let's talk. I want to empower you, get your game plan locked solid, and guide you through. You will not be alone on this journey. In fact, I'll keep it simple for you. Just send me an email saying, "Yeah Ché, let's talk". Voilà!
